The silence the factory didn't deliver

Engine drone, tire roar, wind, rain, plastic squeaks — all of it wears you down within 30 minutes on the road. Factory insulation is almost always a cost compromise. We rebuild it to the level you'd expect from a true premium car: layer by layer, with a photo report of every step.

3–5 days
Why it matters

Factory insulation is a compromise, not a standard

Manufacturers cut corners on materials even in the premium segment: thin damping, minimal sound absorber in doors, no treatment in pillars at all. You see it in the build budget — and you hear it on the road. A proper rebuild gives the car the silence its engineers planned but never shipped because of cost.

What you get

An effect you hear from the first drive

01

Less engine and road noise

External sound in the cabin drops by 5–10 dB — subjectively «twice as quiet». Best felt above 80 km/h and at idle.

02

Better audio quality

Damping makes doors acoustically rigid — speakers stop «losing themselves» in the metal cavities. The mandatory first step for music lovers.

03

Less fatigue on long drives

Constant low-frequency noise wears out the nervous system. After 4–5 hours of quiet driving fatigue is noticeably lower, focus stays sharper.

04

Clearer voice calls

Without background noise the Bluetooth or CarPlay microphone stops «breathing» the road. The other side hears you, not the highway.

05

Anti-corrosion side effect

Damping is a sealed material on bare metal. Wherever it's applied there's no oxygen access — corrosion can't develop on those surfaces.

06

Body rigidity

Thick damping acts as local metal reinforcement. On the highway and in corners the body flexes less, handling feels tighter.

Scope

Full, partial, or spot — whatever you need

We don't push the maximum package. If one door rattles — we fix that one door. If you want premium-level comfort top to bottom — we'll rebuild the whole car.

Full soundproofing

Doors, floor, roof, arches, trunk, firewall. Every accessible metal surface in 2 layers (damping + absorber) plus anti-squeak on plastics. Maximum effect, 4–5 working days.

Partial

Doors and floor — the most popular middle ground. Removes 70–80% of acoustic discomfort at half the budget and time.

Spot

A specific zone: one door, the trunk, the roof, the arches. Right when there's a known pain point (a resonating trunk lid, for instance) or you only want audio prep on the doors.

Materials

10 materials, each for its own job

We don't use one «universal» damping sheet across every surface. Each material has its own thickness, flexibility, temperature regime and target zone. Below is what we actually use, grouped by purpose.

By type
By zone
Damping

First layer, glued directly to bare metal. Kills panel resonance, adds local rigidity, and works as a corrosion barrier.

StP Aerocell QP Genio

Light, for roof and doors

4 mm damping with 100-micron foil and a polymer layer infused with Aerocell granules. Lightweight — perfect for doors and the roof, where every extra kilo loads the hinges and risks panel sag.

Thickness
4 мм
Foil
100 мкм

StP Aerocell QP Intrigo

Thicker, for floor and arches

Same Aerocell technology as Genio but 6 mm thick. Used where there's room under the trim: floor, inner wheel arches. Doesn't go on thin vertical panels — the thickness gets in the way of reassembly.

Thickness
6 мм
Foil
100 мкм

StP F200

Spot reinforcement

2 mm with reinforced 200-micron foil. Not full-coverage — applied locally to the most vibration-loaded spots: cabin-side sills, metal under the rear bench, inner rear arches. The goal is local rigidity without extra weight.

Thickness
2 мм
Foil
200 мкм

StP Bronner SPL Extreme

Bitumen for audiophiles

Bitumen damping, 4 mm, 300-micron foil, reinforcing fibers in the polymer layer and a heat-resistant adhesive. Heat-applied at 150–240 °C (180 °C recommended) — maximum metal adhesion and a 12× boost in panel rigidity. Designed for SPL audio systems, noticeably reinforces the bass range.

Thickness
4 мм
Foil
300 мкм
Absorber

Second layer over damping. Absorbs sound waves (engine, tires), partially insulates heat. Different material per zone, by thickness and flexibility.

StP Sonora

Composite, for doors

5.2 mm composite material, three layers: mastic, perforated polypropylene foam and sealant. Standard second layer in doors, occasionally on inner wheel liners.

Thickness
5.2 мм

StP Qattara

Floor only — not for verticals

6 mm composite material. Not used on vertical panels — sags under its own weight. Main zone is the cabin floor.

Thickness
6 мм

StP Bromo

Thick, dry zones only

7 mm composite. Used on the floor and in the trunk — but only where water absolutely cannot reach. The thickness gives maximum absorption, but the material doesn't tolerate moisture.

Thickness
7 мм

StP NoiseBlock 2

Membrane for tight spots

2 mm high-elasticity polymer that works as an acoustic membrane. Goes where other materials physically can't fit — narrow profiles, curved surfaces.

Thickness
2 мм
Anti-squeak

Finishing layer between cabin plastic and metal. Removes squeaks, creaks and contact noise from rough roads.

StP Biplast Premium 15A Armor

Plastic finish, 15 mm

Foamed viscoelastic polyurethane with a wave-pattern surface and a reinforcing mesh. The mesh prevents stretching during installation — gives better adhesion to plastic. Used on door cards, cabin elements, the roof, where 15 mm fits.

Thickness
15 мм

StP Biplast 5К

Thinner, no mesh

Premium 15A analogue at 5 mm without the reinforcing mesh. Used where 15 mm doesn't fit: tight gaps, narrow plastic elements.

Thickness
5 мм
Extras

Seam tape, acoustic blocks and balls — they seal joints and fill cavities that sheet material can't reach.

Стыковочная лента StP

Seals joints

Closes every joint between sheets and their edges. Stops moisture from getting under the layer and keeps seams sealed — critical on the floor and in the trunk.

StP Acoustic Block

Cavity filler

Blocks of viscoelastic polyurethane foam. Stuffed into large body cavities (rear quarters, pillars) that would otherwise stay as resonance chambers. Moisture-sensitive — only in dry zones.

Акустические шары StP

Three sizes of balls

When a block won't fit, three calibers of balls fill awkward shapes. Common in rear quarters, pillars, narrow arch cavities.

Body zones

Different zone — different approach

Soundproofing isn't just «cover the inside of the car». Each zone has its own noise source, its own metal thickness and its own constraint on material thickness. So we pick materials and layer counts per zone.

Roof

Protects from rain drumming, branches, highway hum. Two layers of flexible damping kill the resonance of the flat roof panel. If the car has a panoramic roof, we skip this — budget goes elsewhere.

Trunk

Resonates from cargo movement, transmits tire noise. Damping plus an absorber membrane removes the «boom box» and quiets the rear suspension.

How we work

Six steps from intake to handover

No rushing, no parallel cars in the booth. Time frame is 3–5 working days, exact estimate per project.

  1. 01

    Inspection and photo log

We accept the car, inspect the cabin, document every defect before work begins. The report stays in your file — protection against any dispute.

  2. 02

    Careful disassembly

Seats, trim, dashboard, carpets — out, with every part tagged. The car gets stripped to bare body — there's no other way to reach the surfaces that matter.

  3. 03

    Clip replacement (with approval)

Old fasteners often crumble during disassembly — that's normal. We list what needs replacement and confirm with you before reassembly.

  4. 04

    Layer by layer

Damping on metal first, then absorber. In zones with plastic — anti-squeak. Every layer photographed.

  5. 05

    Recommendations along the way

If we spot something non-obvious — worn weatherstripping, hidden corrosion, cables in awkward routing — we flag it immediately. Decision stays with you.

  6. 06

    Final report

Final photo set after reassembly, posted to our blog as a case study. The car comes back with a care note and the warranty terms.

Sealing and filling

Seam tape, blocks, and balls

Soundproofing only works if it's sealed and fills everything reachable. So beyond the two layers on metal there are details that turn a half-result into a complete one.

Seam tape

Closes every sheet joint and edge. Keeps moisture out from under the layer and seals seams — critical on the floor and in the trunk.

Acoustic blocks

Pieces of viscoelastic polyurethane foam — packed into large cavities (rear quarters, pillars) that would otherwise echo. Moisture-sensitive, dry zones only.

Acoustic balls

When a block won't physically fit, three sizes of balls fill awkward shapes. Common in rear quarters, pillars, narrow arch pockets.

Add-on service

Anti-squeak — separate from the main soundproofing

Squeaks and creaks come from worn parts, dried-out gaskets or imprecise factory clearances. Anti-squeak is targeted work: we walk the car along every joint, find the source, fix it. Not part of the standard package — quoted only after inspection and listening, because we can't name a price or a deadline without that.

Available only after inspection and listening by a technician.
Warranty and timing

Warranty for the lifetime of the car

We work directly with proven domestic suppliers (SGM, Aerosel) and hold the install quality — so the warranty on our work covers the entire ownership lifetime.

Timing

Full — 4–5 working days, partial — 2–3 days. Exact estimate at intake, written into the agreement.

Photo report

Every layer and every step is documented. Stays with you after handover — useful at resale (adds to value).

Follow-up

A month later we invite you back for a free inspection — to check that nothing squeaks, everything settled into place.
