Modern exterior — without shiny trim
Premium brands have been dropping chrome from new models for years — manufacturers now ship «black package» or «night edition» straight off the line. It's not fashion, it's the new visual norm. On 5–10 year-old cars chrome reads as an age marker: even a fresh S-class with a chrome grille looks older than the same car without it. Antichrome brings the exterior up to current style — no part replacement, no body shop. You get the «black edition» effect on any car that already has chrome.
Wrap or paint — chosen per task
Each method has its strengths. Sometimes the best solution is a combination: wrap on large elements, paint on complex shapes.
Vinyl wrap
Film is applied directly over the chrome without removing parts. Best for large flat surfaces: trim, window frames, roof rails. Easy to revert to factory look — peels off without residue. Perfect if you want to try a new style without commitment.
2K paint
The chrome layer is chemically stripped, the surface is prepared, primer and 2-component paint with clear coat are applied. Best for complex shapes: badges, grilles, handles. Survives high-pressure washes, chemicals and UV. The choice if you know your style.
From a badge to window frames
Antichrome doesn't have to be all-or-nothing. Often 2–3 elements are enough to make the car look new: grille + trim + badge — and the look is together.
Front grille
The most visible element — a change here gives the maximum visual effect.
Trim (window, door)
Long chrome strips around windows and along the body — the most «aging» element. Without them the car looks current.
Badges and emblems
Hood logo, model badge, trim designations — usually painted matte black for a restrained effect.
Door handles
Often chrome on premium models. Painting in body colour or black makes them "disappear".
Window frames
Full window-frame blackout — gives the «hardtop» look like a sports car.
Roof rails, intakes, headlight trim
Decorative roof, bumper and headlight elements. Going black makes the exterior more aggressive.
Five steps from briefing to handover
Most projects are completed in a day. A full package painting many elements may need 2 days.

Briefing
We agree which elements we treat, choose method (wrap / paint), colour and finish — matte, gloss, satin or body colour.

Removal
Chrome elements are carefully removed. Clips and fasteners replaced as needed from our stock.

Surface prep
For paint — chemical chrome stripping, degreasing, adhesion primer. For wrap — degrease and shape pre-fitting.

Paint or wrap
2K paint with clear coat in 2–3 layers in the booth. Or vinyl stretched with heat gun for a perfect fit.
- 05
Cure and reassembly
Full paint cure under lamps, quality control under inspection lighting. Elements installed back with gap alignment.

1 day for most projects. Full package with many elements painted — up to 2 days. Exact estimate at intake.
Pricing

Warranty
On paint — 12 months on delamination and chips. On wrap — up to 5 years from the manufacturer. Anything wrong — bring it back, we sort it.
